Ladies and gentlemen, here’s June’s guide to Paris if you’d like to see…

Best way to visit Paris is by simply… walking. It’s such an inspiring city… Every little corner has something beautiful. I started exploring by the neighborhood of Le Marais, full is stylish designer shops and cafés to get a great cafe au lait watching people passing by and feeling as just another Parisian. I want to Cafe de la Perle and had dinner at Derriere, a super hip restarant I strongly recommend. For cocktails after the nice dinner there’s nothing like the vintage charm and mistery at Curio Parlor (and the cocktails are just awesome).
I did also visited several museums: Centre Pompidou, breathtaking Museé d’Orsay and Museé Rodin which is inside the artist’s house in the city center and where you can see his entire creative process to ventuallt get to those incredible sculptures. Best part of Parisian museums is that they are free for European Union members under 26! Which was quite a relief for my young empty pockets 😉
Sidenote: i forgot to mention the most charming bookstore in Paris: Shakespeare & Company. (Thanks J.)

Aaaand what you save in museums you can spend it, i don’t know.. Shopping! Obviously, Paris is a fashion capital but if you would ask me for some essential shopping i’d go for some tea at Marriage Frères (the most famous one is Marco Polo but i did also get Paris Breakfast and Iskandar and they are delicious!), a pair of Bensimon shoes (the French cute converse), a striped t-shirt or a nice Frech-y dress from a small unknow boutique. I would strongly suggest that you pass by Colette, the coolest concept store and of course, get yourself a macarron… or two. 😉 (Most people buy them at La Durèe but they are sold in most patisseries all over Paris and they are equally good and probably cheaper).
One thing is for sure… From Paris you will return tired after walking so much, full because of all its delicious treats and happy as hippo. 🙂
Hope you’ve enjoyed my guide!
More guides to come… soon!
